Project Description:
The City will provide additional stormwater treatment volume along with modifications to convevance systems to reduce flows and pollutant loadings to the Half-Mile Creek outfall that flows into the Silver Spring River/designated as Outstanding Florida Waters

Presently, there are five drainage basins along S.R. 40 from N.E. 25th Ave to Half-Mile Creek. The westerly four basins (Silver Springs River Pollution Reduction Project/City Phase) have off-line retention facilities that provide attenuation of the peak flow, but no water quality treatment. The City of Ocala is proposing to meet or exceed St.John's River Water Management District's water quality criteria for the four basins within the City of Ocala's jurisdiction.
