Explanation:
Adds a new section to the General Appropriations Act to mandate that State 
Attorneys and Public Defenders use any salary and benefits funds available 
at the end of the fiscal year for the repayment of student loans for 
employees.

        In Section 18  On Page 371

After Section 18, on Page 371, INSERT the following and renumber 
subsequent sections:

SECTION 19.  If funds from the Salaries and Benefits category are 
available at the end of Fiscal Year 2006-2007 in the State Attorney and 
Public Defender circuits, these funds shall be reallocated equally for 
assistance to repay student loans for employees. 

Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process. However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items.
