  • Advisory Panel to Study Practitioner Prescribing Patterns

    The Advisory Panel to Study Practitioner Prescribing Patterns works with the Agency for Healthcare Administration to evaluate medical practitioners within the Medicaid program and ensure they are not inappropriately or insufficiently prescribing medication. Eventually the program will create restrictions for practitioners who continue to prescribe above the norm.

  • Museum of Florida History’s Ad-Hoc Committee - The Great Floridians Program

    The Museum of Florida History’s Ad-Hoc Committee Great Floridians Program is responsible for meeting at least twice a year to select nominees to receive a Great Floridian designation. Great Floridians are present or former citizens of the state, either living or deceased, who have made major contributions to the development of the nation or state. Nominations made by the committee are passed on to the Secretary of State who chooses the recipient of the designation.

  • Presidential Preference Primary Date Selection Committee

    The Presidential Preference Primary Date Selection Committee shall meet no later than October 1 of the year preceding a presidential preference primary election to set the date for the presidential preference primary. The date selected may be no earlier than the first Tuesday in January and no later than the first Tuesday in March in the year of the presidential preference primary.

  • Task Force on Public Employee Disability Presumptions

    The Task Force on Public Employee Disability Presumptions was created to develop findings and issue recommendations on the disability presumptions found in ss. 112.18, 175.231, and 185.34, Florida Statutes. The Task Force must submit a report to the Governor, Chief Financial Officer, Senate President, and Speaker of the Florida House that addresses the following issues related to disability presumptions for police and firefighters: data related to the operation of the statutory disability presumptions, the manner in which other states handle disability presumptions, proposals for changes to the existing disability presumptions, and evidentiary standards and burdens of proof necessary to overcome statutory disability presumptions.
