Governmental Reorganization: Creates the Department of the Florida Highway Patrol; provides for organization of said department; transfers powers, duties, functions, records, personnel, property, legal authorities and actions, and funds of the Division of the Florida Highway Patrol within the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to the Department of the Florida Highway Patrol; transfers certain enforcement duties; provides the Governor with specific organizational authority; authorizes said departments to enter into interagency agreements; maintains certain pay band classifications; provides legislative intent; conforms provisions to the reorganization and transfers made by the act.
Effective Date: This act shall take effect July 1, 2003
