Prohibits using the name or logo of a financial institution or its affiliates or subsidiaries without written consent; provides that the use of the name or logo of a financial institution or its affiliates or subsidiaries without written consent is grounds for denial of license or for disciplinary action; provides that deceptive use of name is an unfair method of competition and unfair or deceptive acts or practices; includes international branches within the definitions of certain financial institutions; exempts financial institutions from certain audit requirements; provides for inspection and examination of a financial institution’s records and books pursuant to subpoena; requires reimbursement of reasonable costs and fees for compliance; includes financial institutions authorized to do business in this state pursuant to the financial institutions codes of another state within an authorization to engage in certain business in this state; expands a list of names or titles limited to use by financial institutions; prohibits using the name or logo of a financial institution or its affiliates or subsidiaries under certain circumstances; provides criteria for certain banks or trust companies to be considered incorporated under the financial institutions codes; revises office or branch relocation requirements; expands the list of persons required to meet qualification criteria to be an officer of a bank or trust company; prohibits imminently insolvent banks from paying dividends and making new loans or discounts; revises certain required time periods for purposes of protecting against unauthorized signatures of alterations; repeals a provision relating to liquidity requirements for a state bank.
