HB 1917 (2004) -  Class Size Reduction

Revises provisions relating to determination of class size averages; provides for reversal of class size reduction operating categorical transfers under certain circumstances; revises course and grade requirements in the college preparatory and career preparatory accelerated high school graduation program; establishes requirements for selection of accelerated graduation options; requires schools to provide specific notices to students and parents if, at the end of the grade 10, a student is not on track to graduate; specifies certain situations in which a student shall be moved from a 3-year to a 4-year graduation program; authorizes the SAT and the ACT as alternate assessments for the grade 10 FCAT under certain circumstances; modifies the formula for the allocation of funds from the Classrooms for Kids appropriation.
