Highway Safety: Provides for a parental notification system to be developed by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles; requires notification to the parent, guardian, or other responsible adult who signed the driver license application of a person under 18 years of age when a citation has been issued to that person for a violation of traffic law; provides for content of the notification; requires a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult signing the driver license application of a minor to provide contact information.
Effective Date: October 1, 2005.
