HB 21 (2006) -  Social Status of Black Men and Boys

Creates the Council on the Social Status of Black Men and Boys; provides for the appointment and qualification of members; provides for the appointment of members to fill vacant positions; requires the council to make a systematic study of conditions affecting black men and boys; requires the Office of the Attorney General to provide administrative support; requires the council to submit an annual report to the Governor and Legislature; provides for reimbursement for per diem and travel expenses; provides that the council and any subcommittee it forms are subject to public records and meetings requirements; provides financial disclosure requirements for council members; requires the Attorney General to organize the initial meeting of the council; provides for the expiration of the council.
Effective Date: January 1, 2007.
