HB 195 (2006) -  Joint Legislative Sales and Use Tax Exemption Review Committee

Creates the Joint Legislative Sales and Use Tax Exemption Review Committee for the purpose of reviewing exemptions from the general state sales and use tax; provides for appointments to and organization of the committee; specifies duties and procedures with respect to such review; provides for open meetings; provides for reports; requires continuing periodic review of sales and use tax exemptions; provides a period of exemption from review for newly enacted exemptions; provides applicability to other legislation proposing to modify, repeal, or enact an exemption.
Effective Date: upon becoming a law.
