Revises provisions relating to powers and duties of district school boards with respect to school improvement plans; requires public hearings and analysis relating to excess paperwork and data collection; requires district school board establishment of a task force to reduce paper and electronic reporting requirements; requires implementation of progress monitoring plans and deletes student improvement plans and personalized middle school success plans; provides planning options to improve student academic achievement; deletes certain provisions relating to student remediation.
Effective Date: July 1, 2006.
