GENERAL BILL   by Safety & Security Council and Mealor (CO-SPONSORS) Ambler; Zapata
Vacation and Timeshare Plans: Revises & provides various provisions relating to vacation & timeshare plans; revises formula for funding reserve accounts for conversions; authorizes certain persons to offer timeshare interests & provides criteria & notice requirements for such offers; provides & revises definitions; revises timeshare disclosure statement requirements; includes certain persons in provisions relating to advertising & oral statements; revises recordkeeping requirements; provides for recovery of certain damages & attorney's fees & costs; revises provisions with respect to insurance coverage & assessment of common expenses; provides factors that managing entity must take into account in determining whether insurance obtained is adequate; provides application re use of term "vacation club"; authorizes Governor to appoint commissioners of deeds to take acknowledgments, proofs of execution, or oaths in international waters.
