GENERAL BILL   by Economic Expansion & Infrastructure Council and Reagan (CO-SPONSORS) Brandenburg; Bucher; Chestnut; Fitzgerald; Ford; Gibson, H.; Heller; Homan; Hooper; Hudson; Kriseman; Lopez-Cantera; Machek; Precourt; Randolph; Vana; Zapata; RECOMMENDED by Economic Expansion & Infrastructure Council
Uniform Traffic Control: Creates Mark Wandall Traffic Safety Program to be administered by DHSMV; provides for counties & municipalities to enforce traffic control signals using traffic infraction detectors; requires annual report from counties & municipalities to DHSMV on use of traffic infraction detectors; requires summary report from DHSMV to Governor & Legislature; revises definition of term "habitual traffic offender" to include certain number of violations of traffic control signal steady red light indication within certain timeframe.
