CS/SB 790 (2008) -  School Safety/Bullying and Harassment [SPCC]

General Bill by Criminal Justice and Baker (CO-SPONSORS) Dockery; Bennett; Lynn; Rich
School Safety/Bullying and Harassment [SPCC]: Cites this act as the "Jeffrey Johnston Stand Up for All Students Act." Prohibits bullying and harassment of any student or employee of a public K-12 educational institution. Requires each school district to adopt a policy prohibiting such bullying and harassment. Provides immunity to certain persons who report an act of bullying or harassment in good faith and in compliance with the policy, etc.
Effective Date: Upon becoming law
