Beverage Container Deposits: Establishes refundable deposit for specified beverage containers payable by consumers, dealers, & distributors; provides for redemption of beverage containers & deposit fees; authorizes use of reverse vending machines; provides requirements & procedures for redemption centers, dealers, distributors, & manufacturers; provides for reimbursement of certain handling fees; requires keeping of specified information & records; preserves confidentiality of trade secret information; authorizes DEP to adopt implementing rules; specifies conditions for violation of act; provides for civil penalty & disposition of proceeds; prohibits local governments from imposing fees for same or similar purpose.
