GENERAL BILL   by Health Care Regulation Policy Committee and Flores and Burgin (CO-SPONSORS) Ambler; Bovo; Coley; Dorworth; Eisnaugle; Evers; Ford; Fresen; Frishe; Hays; Horner; Kreegel; Murzin; Plakon; Precourt; Reagan; Renuart; Snyder; Stargel; Van Zant; Weinstein; Williams, T.; Workman; RECOMMENDED by Health Care Regulation Policy Committee
Abortion: Requires that ultrasound be performed on any woman obtaining abortion; specifies who must perform ultrasound; requires that ultrasound be reviewed with patient prior to woman giving informed consent; specifies who must review with patient; requires that woman certify in writing that she declined to review ultrasound & did so of her own free will & without undue influence; provides exemption from ultrasound viewing requirement for women who are victims of rape, incest, domestic violence, or human trafficking or for women who have serious medical condition necessitating abortion; revises requirements for written materials; requires that all other provisions in statute be complied with if patient declines to view ultrasound.
