SB 2178 (2009) -  Mail-in Secondhand Dealers/Jewelry/Precious Metals [CPSC]

Creates provisions relating to mail-in secondhand jewelry and precious metal dealers. Provides for verification of a seller's identification. Requires the seller to provide a sworn statement that the seller is the lawful owner of the jewelry or precious metals that are offered for sale and has the authority to sell the jewelry or precious metals. Provides procedures for notifying a law enforcement agency of transactions, etc.
