Florida Kidcare Program:
Clarifies application of Florida Kidcare program to include all eligible uninsured, low-income children; removes restriction on participation in Florida Healthy Kids program; authorizes certain enrollees to opt out of Children's Medical Services Network or Florida Kidcare Plus; revises coverage limitations, restrictions on enrollment, & limitations on age & income for certain coverage under Florida Kidcare program; requires electronic verification of applicants' income; provides circumstances under which written documentation is required; revises timeframe for enrollee to resolve disputes regarding withholding of benefits; authorizes AHCA to increase premium assistance payments for benefits provided through Florida Kidcare Plus rather than Children's Medical Services Network; revises information to be included in annual program evaluation submitted to Governor & Legislature; revises redetermination process for coverage under Florida Kidcare program; clarifies that DOH is chair of Florida Kidcare coordinating council; revises requirements for disclosure of certain confidential & exempt information relating to enrollee's application; revises provisions relating to determination of eligibility of certain children for Medicaid program; revises duties of Florida Healthy Kids Corporation; revises date upon which corporation must provide study to Legislature & Governor.
