CS/HB 1439 - Access to Confidential Records of Children
GENERAL BILL   by Health Care Services Policy Committee and Nehr (CO-SPONSORS) Hooper; Jones; Porth; Thurston; Weatherford
Access to Confidential Records of Children: Requires that case file of child under supervision or in custody of DCFS be maintained in complete & accurate manner; specifies who has access to case file & records in file; authorizes court to release child's records to certain entities; provides that entities that have access to confidential & exempt records about child may share it with other entities that provide services benefiting children; specifies who has access to child's records; makes editorial changes; adds DJJ to list of agencies that are authorized to exchange confidential or exempt information.
