HJR 1467 (2009) -  Partial Exemption for Renovated or Reconstructed Homestead Property

Proposes creation of s. 19, Art. VII of State Constitution to authorize Legislature to exempt homestead property that has been renovated or reconstructed by charitable entity or for-profit builder using predominantly volunteer labor from ad valorem taxation & non-ad valorem assessments in amount equal to any increase in assessed value of homestead property resulting from renovation or reconstruction; limits term of exemption to 30 years; provides for termination of exemption upon sale or transfer of ownership of property.
