General Bill
Energy Economic Zones:
Authorizes specified tax credits & other incentives for pilot energy economic zone communities; provides requirements for provision of such incentives; provides that designated energy economic zones shall be considered transportation concurrency exception areas; provides requirements for calculation of land required to accommodate anticipated growth for specified purposes; defines term "clean technology industries & technologies"; requires pilot communities to work with certain agencies to test specified methods to promote energy-efficient land use; exempts specified building materials used in construction or rehabilitation of energy-efficient structures from certain sales, rental, use, consumption, distribution, & storage taxes; exempts specified real property located in energy economic zones from certain sales, rental, use, consumption, distribution, & storage taxes; exempts clean technology & manufacturing products used in energy economic zones from certain taxes.
