CS/HB 5801 - Taxation

General Bill   by Full Appropriations Council on Education & Economic Development and Finance & Tax Council and Bogdanoff
Taxation: Directs DOR to develop & implement amnesty program for taxpayers subject to state & local taxes; provides time periods, program guidelines, eligible participants, & for waiver of penalties & interest under specified circumstances; revises rate & distribution of taxes on severance of phosphate rock; provides that DOR may release confidential taxpayer information relating to corporation having outstanding tax warrant to DBPR; authorizes DOR to publish list of taxpayers against whom DOR has filed warrant or judgment lien certificate or taken collection action; authorizes DBPR to suspend or deny renewal of license to operate public lodging establishment or public food service establishment under specified circumstances; authorizes DOR to revoke all certificates of registration, permits, or licenses issued to taxpayer against whose property DOR has filed warrant or tax lien; provides for transfer of tax liabilities to transferee of business or stock of goods under specified circumstances; makes permanent methodology for determining value of assessments for specified homesteads, etc.
