Powers of Attorney: Provides for durable power of attorney; specifies agent qualifications; provides execution requirements; provides for military power of attorney; provides for meaning & effectiveness; specifies when power is effective; provides limitations on future power; provides for termination or suspension of power or agent's authority; provides for revocation; provides for designation of co-agents & successor agents; provides for acceptance of & reliance upon power of attorney; authorizes third party to require affidavit; provides for validity of acts taken on behalf of principal who is reported as missing by Armed Forces; provides restriction on conveyance of homestead; requires notice of certain events; specifies certain acts that do not require specific authority; provides authority for banking & security transactions; specifies role of common law; provides for preemption of laws relating to financial institutions; provides for recognition of other remedies; repeals provisions relating to authority of agent when principal is dead, authority of agent when principal is missing, durable powers of attorney, & deployment-contingent power of attorney.
