Prohibits public employer from compelling employee who is spouse of military servicemember to work extended work hours during active duty deployment of his or her spouse; prohibits imposition of sanction or penalty upon such employee for failure or refusal to work extended work hours during period of his or her spouse's active duty deployment; requires public employer to grant request by such employee for unpaid leave for specified purposes during active duty deployment; provides limitation on such unpaid leave; authorizes DMS to adopt certain rules; declaring that act fulfills important state interest.
