HB 1007 (2015) -  Minority Impact Statements

Requires that bills creating new criminal offense, modify existing criminal offense, or modify penalty for existing criminal offense be referred upon filing & before consideration to EDR for preparation of minority impact statement; authorizes EDR to request assistance of executive agency; specifies requirements for statement; requires EDR to issue finding as to whether bill has disparate impact on members of racial minority groups; requires that bill sponsor take certain action if EDR finds disparate impact on racial minority groups; requires that, if statement is required of sponsor, it be included as appendix to minority impact statement.
