| An act becomes a law after it has been approved by the Governor, allowed by the Governor to become law without his signature after his ability to veto the act within seven days after presentation has expired, or after the Legislature overrides the Governor's veto by a vote of two-thirds in each house. If during the seven-day period or on the seventh day the Legislature adjourns sine die or takes a recess of more than 30 days, the Governor shall have 15 consecutive days from the date of presentation to either approve or veto the act.
