Office of Legislative ServicesThe Joint Rules of the Florida Legislature provide for an Office of Legislative Services to provide legislative support services that are determined by the President and the Speaker to be necessary and that can be effectively provided jointly to both houses and other units of the Legislature.  The divisions of Statutory Revision and Legislative Information are within the Office of Legislative Services.
One-subject RuleThe constitutional requirement, imposed by Section 6 of Article III of the Florida Constitution, that every law shall embrace but one subject and matter connected therewith.
Open MeetingsSection 4(e) of Article III of the Florida Constitution provides that specified legislative meetings shall be open and noticed to the public.
