Technical AmendmentThe Rules & Calendar Council may make technical corrections of a purely non-substantive nature to legislative measures.
Temporarily PostponedA motion can be made in the Chamber or in a council or committee meeting to temporarily defer consideration of a measure.
Term LimitsConstitutional limits on the number of consecutive terms a member may serve in the same chamber.  Article VI, Section 4(b)(5)(6) of the Florida Constitution limits legislators to eight consecutive years.
Trust FundA trust fund is a special account into which certain funds are deposited and out of which funds are disbursed for a specific and exclusive purpose.
Trust Fund BillA trust fund bill sets up a trust fund.  Section 19(f) of Article III of the Florida Constitution mandates that trust fund bills that create or re-create a trust fund pass by a vote of three-fifths of the membership of each house.  In addition, the Florida Constitution requires that the Legislature periodically review trust funds to determine whether they should be terminated, modified, made exempt from review, or re-created without modification.  Section 215.3208, Florida Statutes, provides the schedule for termination and review of trust funds.
