MEMORANDUM
To:      Members, Florida House of Representatives
From:  Speaker Larry Cretul
Date:   June 26, 2009
Re:      Complaint 09-01 regarding Representative Ray Sansom

As you know, I appointed D. Stephen Kahn as the special investigator to review a citizen's complaint filed with the House regarding Representative Sansom.  I am writing to inform you that Mr. Kahn has issued the attached Statement of Alleged Violation.

When a special investigator issues a Statement of Alleged Violation, House Rule 16.2 requires the Speaker to appoint a Select Committee on Standards of Official Conduct.  In compliance with that Rule, I hereby appoint the following members to serve on the Select Committee:

Representative Bill Galvano, Chair
Representative Faye Culp
Representative Joe Gibbons
Representative Rich Glorioso
Representative Ari Porth

In conducting its review, the Select Committee will follow the process and procedures specified by House Rule 16.2.  Please be advised that while the proceedings of the Select Committee are underway, except when acting in an official capacity, members of the Select Committee are prohibited by the Rule from commenting upon or discussing with any other person the matters that occasioned the appointment of the Select Committee.
