Speaker's Rostrum

The Speaker's rostrum occupies the highest point on the floor in recognition of the great importance accorded that office.

During Special and Regular Sessions, the House Parliamentarian sits to the immediate right of the Speaker.

During Joint Sessions, the Clergyman, Speaker pro tempore, and the Speaker sit to the right of the Lectern; the President, Governor, and President pro tempore sit to the left of the Lectern.
