Providing applicability of specified consumer protection laws to the business of insurance; revises procedures, requirements, and limitations for filing and setting rates, rate schedules, and rating manuals; excludes bad faith based judgments from rate bases; limits rates for medical malpractice insurance; prohibits issuance of motor vehicle or property insurance policies without also issuing medical malpractice insurance policies; prohibits denying medical malpractice insurance to health care providers.
Effective Date: This act shall take effect upon becoming a law
