HB 91 CS (2006) -  Residence of Sexual Offenders and Predators

Revises provisions relating to the residence of specified sex offenders; provides definitions; prohibits the knowing rental or lease of a residence within 2,500 feet of specified locations to a restricted sex offender who intends to occupy the unit; provides a due diligence defense; provides criminal penalties; provides applicability to county and municipal ordinances; revises conditional release program restrictions on the residence of certain sexual offenders; revises terms and conditions of probation or community control restricting the residence of persons convicted of certain sex offenses; provides that amendments in this act to provisions restricting the residence of sexual offenders and sexual predators shall not require the relocation of such an offender who had established, prior to the effective date of this act, a residence not in compliance with the amendments to such restrictions.
