Cystic Fibrosis Treatment:
Includes within an exclusion from provisions applying to out-of-state groups group policies providing health coverage for cystic fibrosis; requires a group health insurance policy to cover services needed to treat cystic fibrosis as authorized by a physician; requires a contract by a health maintenance organization to cover services needed to treat cystic fibrosis as authorized by a physician; provides a legislative finding of fulfillment of an important state interest; provides application.
Effective Date:
October 1, 2006, and applies to all policies and contracts issued or renewed on or after that date.
