HB 1493 (2006) -  Public K-12 Educational Instruction

Requires each high school to offer Advanced Placement courses taught by Advanced Placement teachers; requires the State Board of Education to establish guidelines for teacher training; provides for the appropriation of funds for Advanced Placement and Pre-Advanced Placement teacher training and specifies requirements; requires school districts to offer rigorous courses as preparation for Advanced Placement coursework; provides state board duties relating to funding, implemention of an integrated instructional program, communication of information, and evaluation.
