HB 1511 (2006) -  Sexual Offender Registration

Provides that certain young adults and older minors who are sexual offenders may petition a court for removal of the requirement to register as sexual offenders; specifies how the court makes its determination to grant or deny the petition; requires the Department of Law Enforcement to remove the offender from classification as a sexual offender for purposes of registration and notification if the offender provides to the department a certified copy of the court's written findings or order granting the petition.
Effective Date: October 1, 2006.
