General Bill
Property Tax Administration:
Prohibits specified local governments from participating in the local government half-cent sales tax under specific circumstances; provides a methodology for calculating a maximum millage rate for such local governments; requires a certification form to contain millage rate computation instructions relating to loss of eligibility to participate in the local government half-cent sales tax; specifies a majority plus one vote to adopt a millage rate more than 5 percent above the rolled-back rate; requires the Department of Revenue to employ the Usability Center at Florida State University for property tax and non-ad valorem assessment notice study purposes; requires a report to the Governor and Legislature; provides an appropriation.
