Building Code Hurricane Preparedness: Designates act "Uniform Building Code Act"; provides intent with respect to effect of building code modifications on wind protection; requires uniform application of certain standards relating to wind-borne debris & structural guidelines; prohibits code modification that diminishes construction requirements; prescribes date by which counties & municipalities must enforce certain windborne debris protections & structural guidelines; requires Florida Building Commission to develop voluntary guidelines for increasing hurricane resistance of buildings; requires guidelines to be included in commission's report to 2008 Legislature.
Effective Date: upon becoming a law.
