General Bill
State Attorneys:
Requires state attorneys to retain moneys in respective trust funds for investment, with interest appropriated to GR; requires state attorneys to jointly develop coordinated classification & pay plan & have SAAO submit plan to Legislature; requires specified payments received by state attorney to be deposited into specified trust fund for state attorney; creates State Attorneys Administration Office; requires percentage of specified amounts recovered by state attorney to be deposited into specified trust fund for SAAO; requires clerks of circuit courts to provide to SAAO quarterly estimate of funds necessary to pay for specified witnesses; requires clerk of court to request SAAO to pay for specified services if county is deficient in resources; provides that all state laws relating to state budgeting & financing apply to all court processes authorized or required for payment of specified court services; removes state attorneys from membership on and jurisdiction of JAC; requires state attorneys to report annually to SAAO on affirmative action programs for previous fiscal year; requires specified funds to be deposited into specified trust fund of applicable state attorney for consumer litigation; requires clerks of court to keep all official records required for juvenile delinquents separate from other records of circuit court but allows state attorneys access to the records.
