Lead Poisoning Prevention: Creates Florida Lead-based Paint Reduction Program within DOH; requires certification of individuals & firms performing lead-reduction activities; requires DOH to develop course accreditation & certification standards & requirements & to establish criteria & fee schedule for examinations & certification; provides for such fees to be deposited into Lead Poisoning Prevention Trust Fund; requires person to provide notification of lead-based paint abatement activities to DOH; requires DOH to prepare fact sheet on abatement for distribution to consumers.
Effective Date: July 1, 2008, if HB 1199 or similar legislation is adopted in the same legislative session or an extension thereof and becomes law
