General Bill
Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles:
Revises provisions relating to high-occupancy-vehicle lanes, payment of certain tolls, railroad crossings, driving under influence, ignition interlock devices, prohibition against pleading guilty to lesser offense than offense charged, commercial motor vehicles engaged in intrastate commerce, DOT duties, child restraint & safety belt usage requirements, traffic citations, citation data, certificates of title, motorcycles and motorcycle endorsements, displaying truck license plate, commercial motor vehicle federal identifying number, specialty license plates, temporary license plates, issuance of temporary license plates, Gold Star license plates, transactions with department, offenses committed by person holding commercial driver's license, license valid in Florida only, holding more than one driver's license, issuance or renewal of an identification card, application for driver's license, content of driver's license, fingerprinting, replacement of an instruction permit or driver license, expiration & renewal of driver's licenses, Florida At-Risk Driver Council, fees, distribution of fees, ignition interlock devices, vehicles involved in an accident resulting in bodily injury or death, traffic violations, controlled substance, privilege to drive commercial motor vehicle, and judgments; authorizes police officer to make an arrest upon for violation of motor vehicle license laws; repeals provisions for voluntary contribution for Election Campaign Financing Trust Fund; and designates Joseph P. Bertrand Building in Lee County.
