HB 1351 (2008) -  Public Safety

Provides that only indigent sexual predators may defer certain costs; revises provisions relating to residence of sexual predators; specifies residency distance limitations for persons convicted of certain sexual offenses & preempts local ordinances; provides additional residency restrictions on certain offenders; provides for enhanced penalties for loitering or prowling by persons convicted of certain sex offenses; provides additional conditional release restrictions for certain offenders; revises provisions relating to violation hearings for certain conditional releasees; revises provisions relating to probation or community control for sexual predators & offenders; provides that failure of sexual predator or offender to obtain residence in compliance with certain requirements is not defense in certain proceedings; provides additional restrictions for certain probationers or community controllees who committed sexual offenses with minors under age of 16.
