Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund:
Specifies board of directors of Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund Finance Corporation as Rate Reduction Authority; provides for authority to extend & expand temporary emergency program applicable only to specified hurricane seasons; authorizes authority to provide additional contract years for optional coverage; authorizes authority to sell reinsurance to private insurance companies at discounted rates; extends eligible contract years for purposes of temporary increase in coverage limit options; increases claims-paying capacity of fund; increases reimbursement premium amount for additional coverage; limits purchases of additional insurance; specifies additional powers of Rate Reduction Authority relating to contract refund requirements, antitrust actions, & selling reinsurance.
