Requires that physician refer minor to appropriate specialist for screening for autism spectrum disorder; provides health insurance coverage for individuals with certain developmental disabilities; requires certain insurers & HMOs to provide direct patient access to appropriate specialist for screening, evaluation, or diagnosis for autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities; requires insurer's policy or HMO contract to provide for minimum number of visits per year for such screening, evaluation, or diagnosis.
