General Bill
Public Officers and Employees Group Insurance:
Requires school districts to procure specified insurance through purchasing interlocal agreement; requires school districts to enter into interlocal agreement to establish School Districts Insurance Consortium for specified purposes; authorizes individual school districts to opt out of consortium; authorizes consortium to advertise for competitive bids for specified types of insurance; requires consortium to advertise for proposals for statewide insurance plan & regional plans; provides criteria & requirements for such plans; provides requirements for awarding contracts; requires school districts to engage in collective bargaining.
