Employment Discrimination:
Creates "Helen Gordon Davis Equal Pay Protection Act"; requires AWI to conduct studies & provide information to employers, labor organizations & public concerning means available to eliminate pay disparities between men & women; designates FCHR as primary enforcement agency for claims under federal Equal Pay Act; requires FCHR to adopt rules & issue guidance on federal act; creates Governor's Recognition Award for Pay Equity in Workplace; requires that award be made annually to businesses in this state which have engaged in activities that eliminate barriers to equal pay for equal work for women; requires director of Workforce Innovation & chairperson of FCHR to work cooperatively with Governor's office to create eligibility criteria for employers to receive award.
