HB 987 (2011) -  Optional Sector Plans

Increases minimum size of geographic areas that qualify for use of optional sector plans; revises terminology relating to plans; deletes obsolete provisions; revises content required to be included in conceptual long-term overlay plans & detailed specific area plans; requires identification of water development projects & transportation facilities to serve future development needs; exempts certain developments from requirement to develop detailed specific area plan; requires that certain plan amendments or long-term conceptual overlay plans include buildout date & precludes certain changes in development until after that date; authorizes certain development agreements between developer & local government; provides for continuation of certain existing land uses.
