Rec./Insurance: Provides exemption from public records requirements for notice of proposed divestiture in domestic insurer provided to Commissioner of Insurance pursuant to acquisition of domestic stock insurer; specifies duration of exemption; provides exemption from public records requirements for identity of lender pursuant to merger or other acquisition of control of domestic stock insurer where source of consideration is loan made in lender’s ordinary course of business, upon request of lender; provides for review & repeal of exemptions; provides statement of public necessity.
Effective Date: on the same date that HB 1167 or similar legislation takes effect, if such legislation is adopted in the same legislative session or an extension thereof and becomes law
