CS/SB 654 (2012) -  Animal Control

by Regulated Industries and Hays (CO-SPONSORS) Sobel; Montford
Requiring animal control officers, wildlife officers, and disease laboratories to report potential health risks to humans from animals; providing for use of additional prescription drugs for euthanasia and chemical immobilization of animals; providing for rulemaking to expand the list of additional prescription drugs; providing that the Board of Pharmacy or the Department of Health may revoke or suspend a permit upon a determination that the permittee or its employees or agents is using or has used an authorized drug for other purposes or if a permittee has committed specified violations; restricting the use of intracardial injection for euthanizing animals; prohibiting the delivery of a lethal solution or powder by adding it to food, etc.
