SB 1394 (2012) -  Automated External Defibrillators

Encouraging a person or entity to notify the local public safety answering point regarding the location of the defibrillator in its possession; authorizing public safety telecommunicators to contact owners of defibrillators under certain circumstances involving coronary emergency calls; requiring certain entities to notify local emergency services medical directors of the locations of automated external defibrillators; requiring local emergency medical services medical directors to maintain registries of certain automated external defibrillator locations; directing the State Surgeon General, with the assistance of the Department of Management Services, to adopt rules to establish guidelines for the appropriate placement and deployment of automated external defibrillators in places of public assembly; requiring the placement of an automated external defibrillator in each public school in this state, etc.
