HB 1407 (2016) -  Greyhound Racing

Creates "Greyhound Safety Act"; prohibits Division of Pari-mutuel Wagering of DBPR from granting license or permit to applicant convicted of animal cruelty, felony aggravated assault or battery, or felony child abuse; requires division to immediately revoke license or permit of person convicted of animal cruelty; provides that division may not commence administrative proceedings & must reinstate suspended license if division cannot confirm positive test result; provides certain requirements for maintaining safe racing facilities & racetrack surfaces.
