CS/CS/SB 1012 (2017) -  Insurance Fraud

General Bill by Appropriations and Banking and Insurance and Brandes (CO-SPONSORS) Young
Insurance Fraud: Requiring every insurer to designate at least one primary anti-fraud employee for certain purposes; creating a grant program to fund the Insurance Fraud Dedicated Prosecutor Program within the department; providing additional prohibited acts related to viatical settlement contracts; requiring life insurers to provide a specified statement to individual life insurance policyholders, etc.
Effective Date: Except as otherwise expressly provided in this act, this act shall take effect upon becoming a law
